New to Phrasly? Here's how to humanize your first document in a few minutes, from pasting your text to checking the result.
Step 1: Create a free account
Sign up at phrasly.ai/register, then verify your email with the code we send you. A free account comes with 300 humanizer words to try it out. You can also try it once without an account at phrasly.ai/ai-humanizer (one free humanization of up to 500 words).
Step 2: Open the AI Humanizer
Go to phrasly.ai/dashboard/humanizer. Paste your text, or use Import from File to bring in a .txt, .docx or .pdf file. Your text needs to be at least 30 words.
Each run can be up to 5,000 words and 30,000 characters on a paid plan, or 800 words on a free account or the trial. Your word balance needs to cover the text, so a new free account can humanize up to 300 words. For longer documents, humanize them in parts.
Step 3: Choose your model
Open the model menu at the top right of the humanizer (it shows your current model) and pick from the Choose your model list:

Pick how much your text changes with the slider: Gentle, Light, Balanced, Strong or Max. Start with Balanced, which suits almost every text. Move toward Strong or Max only if a detector still flags the result, or toward Light or Gentle to keep more of your original wording.
Balanced: the standard model, used by free accounts. It has three strengths: Easy (best readability, good for SEO and blogs), Medium (a balance between humanizing and readability) and Aggressive (the highest humanization rate, and the default).
On Ultra, the Text settings button (the sliders icon next to the mode slider) opens optional settings: more commas, longer or shorter sentences, and cleaner grammar. They're all off by default. Commas and sentence length are nudges, not guarantees, and cleaner grammar can lower bypass slightly.
Step 4: Humanize and fine-tune
Click Humanize. The result appears as it's written. Not quite right? You can:
Use the draft arrows under the result to get more drafts of the same text, up to 5 in total including the first. Extra drafts don't use words.
Click any sentence of 8 or more words to see alternative versions and swap one in.
Step 5: Check it and use it
Click Check for AI under the humanized text to run it through the Phrasly AI Detector (50 to 10,000 words). The results include Third-Party AI Scores, which show how detectors like Pangram, GPTZero, Turnitin, Originality, ZeroGPT and Copyleaks would likely judge the text. These are Phrasly's predictions, not scans by those services.
Then copy your text, or click Edit to open it in the Doc Editor. Your humanizations are saved in History, and you can turn that off in History settings.
A few things to keep in mind
Phrasly is AI and can make mistakes. Reread your output against the original so it still says what you mean.
Results vary by text and by detector, and no tool can guarantee a particular score.
